Etsy Inspired

The EtsyInspired blog is celebrating their 100th challenge so I thought I would make a card! The inspiration is from Cathy Walters Etsy shop. She makes beautiful pendants and this butterfly one caught my eye. Love the blues and purples!

Here is my card inspired from the pendant.
I used Alcohol Inks in blues and purples to colour some glossy paper and them embossed the butterfly in black on top and added a bit of shimmer with a Stardust Pen. The background was done in Distress Inks and all was mounted on the Big Scalloped Circle die cut. I didn't add a sentiment on the front, instead I stamped it on the inside of the card. I do this quite often to have a cleaner looking front.

Journey Back

I'm sharing a few cards I made using Vinnie Pearce's new digi kit here called The Journey Back Collection.  There are so many lovely images in this kit so go take a peek!

I love leaf images and there are quite a few in the collection. I especially love this fern in a ghost-like white colour against the teal shade.
Who can resist butterflies? Vinnie has some beautiful ones in this kit and I used a couple of them on cards.

On this butterfly I thought that the girl image looking up at the night sky would be perfect for a Thinking of You card.

Some more leaves (I just couldn't resist)!
And my final card, soft and serene.

Just because...

There's a new monthly challenge over at Hero Arts called Keeping in Touch and Back to School. Go check out the details here.

I embossed the dandelion image with Zing Embossing Powder in Leaf. I love how the colour pops on the black glossy cardstock. The sentiment is also embossed and I used my new nestie shape Big Scalloped Circles for the card base.
