Here's a few goodies I have lined up for a little giveaway.
A few stamps, stickers, rub-ons and some ribbon. And who knows, maybe a couple more things will find their way onto the pile.
All you have to do is leave a comment and tell me if you celebrate Valentine's Day. Is it just another regular day on the calendar, do you do something special as a family or do you leave the kids at home and make the most out of it with your significant other?
I'll leave the comments open until 11:59 pm EST on February 13th and announce the winner on Valentine's Day.
Good luck!
We don't really do much for Valentine's Day, so I'd say it's only slightly more special than a regular day on the calendar. We have our anniversary in late January, so we put more emphasis on that. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSue that is some yummy blog candy! :) We have been spending valentines with the kiddos but my oldest is turning 16 in a month so we will see if he wants to be home with us. :) We usually order dinner and play games.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway, Sue! You are generous. :) Actually we don't make a big deal about Valentine's Day. But we celebrated last year in a little hotel, and it was great. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful blog candy! Thanks for a chance to win. Yes we usally exchane cards and a small gift.
ReplyDeleteHow fun and generous of you Sue! I really love Valentine's Day now for the little ones! I just LOVE to see the excitement and fun that it gives for our son though, he adores all the goodies he gets from school and his friends! And he takes all his Valentines and tapes them to the wall!
ReplyDeleteI usually make cards to send to the Grandkids - who all live away. (There are 4 in WA and 1 in FL and 2 in Alaska, while we live in CA!) He might get me a card, and I might make him one, but there's really nothing too special after 43 years of marriage... not here anyway.

Hi, Sue! What a terrific bunch of goodies! Thank you for your generosity! I do celebrate Valentine's Day! My hubby and I were married on Valentine's Day and this year we will celebrate our 10th Anniversary! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely giveaway, thanks for the chance of winning. I will be working all day on valentines but ill be having a lazy day in the day before with my man and his daughter who is visiting for the holidays. Gonna bake a cake too. Lazy day on the sofa!!! Anika x
ReplyDeleteI try to make it special for both my kids and my husband! It is a great day for me to remind them how much I love them!
ReplyDeleteI have 25 years with my valentine. We always try to make it about us, but with 3 boys it's not always possible. We hope this year to make it about us and spend the time doing something special.

Hi there!. I like to send Valentines cards to my mom {a snowbird} ,my close out of town friend {a s tamper},
ReplyDelete& my husband.I also like to make a romantic dinner. How about you?
Since the pitchers and catchers reporting day is around Valentines Day we celebrate them combined.
ReplyDeleteI always make cards for family and friends, but DH and I don't do much to celebrate. He often is out of town for meetings on the day itself, so we go out to dinner the weekend before or after. It's less crowded that way!
ReplyDeleteNot celebrate and miss a chance to enjoy chocolate without guilt? Never! lol ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow nice you are to offer blog candy!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some pretty things.
Valentine's Day is fairly quiet, but we exchange cards, and a bouquet of red roses always shows up. It is a low-ke but sweet holiday for us.
My husbands is very sweet every year and takes me to dinner and buys me candy, a card an sometimes flowers. It is nice to have a special day for just the two of us.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the generous giveaway and a chance to win.
This is such a wonderful way to celebrate Valentines day....with a sweet blog give away! Thank you so much for the oppurtunity to win Sue! I always do something for my kids...a little gift, a chocolate and a card. My husband and I exchange cards but have not been able to fit in a special dinner on that night in years! I do love going into the stores and seeing all the red, white and pink displays though :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in secondary school, valentines' day is the fund raising day for us where we sell items to the fellow students & teachers... But it creased when I graduated...
ReplyDeleteValentines' day isn't really a special day for me, even though I'm attached for 2yr as my bf don't really celebrate it. Despite for not celebrating, it's a great reason for cards making... Hehe~
This vday would be my 3rd vday with him... It may be a different vday from previous though... As both of us have a certain plan that we hope to carry out tt day~ ^^
How generous, Sue! Please count me out for your draw, though.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I do celebrate Valentine's day. We exchange cards and usually have a quiet dinner at home together.
Wow, that's very generous of you Sue! My husband and I typically go out for dinner, but nothing too fancy. We usually exchange cards too...a handmade card from me of course. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
So sweet of you to do Sue! Thanks much!
ReplyDeleteWe dont go out much, the wait is always so long and food, not always as good, so we make a very nice romantic meal at home and we rent a good movie and have a quiet night at home.
Here in holland it is another regular day although commerce is pushing us to celebrate it more and more. Too bad because I get the feeling here it's more about making more money than be truly greatful for good vriends. Fab give-away Sue. I'm a HA fan too!
ReplyDeleteI love to make cards and a little gift for my family. Thanks for a chance to win your generous blog candy!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful blog candy, Sue but please don't include my name in the draw.
ReplyDeleteUsually on Valentine's Day the restaurants are very busy and rushed so we prefer to have a nice dinner at home with the boys followed by a film that all of us like.
Wow this is a great give-away. So love the butterflies. Usually Valentine's Day is a day for my sweetie and I. He usually makes plans to get a babysitter and takes me out for dinner & a movie. Nothing big. Sometimes I do get roses and sometimes not. Sometimes it is just him cooking for me and going for a stroll together later in the park. Really he is very generious with his affection all year round and doesn't just show/share it with me on this special day of the year. Thanks for the chance to win Sue. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWe absolutely do! It's also my hubby's birthday, so we do all kinds of stuff--his favorite is strawberry shortcake instead of cake so we always make that. Plus I get candy on his birthday...fun! We do a little scavenger hunt for the kids to find chocolate and a small gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous heart you have Sue!
ReplyDeleteVAlentines Day is much bigger in the USA than the UK, in so far as it is for everyone, which I think is nice :o)
I will be eating out with friends.
Thank you xx
What a fabulous giveaway Sue! No I don't celebrate Valentine's Day, however I probably would if I had a signifigant other that actually wanted too! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win
What a wonderful array of goodies you've assembled, Sue; very generous giveaway! I don't usually celebrate the cupid holiday, the hubs and I prefer our romantic dates to be more spontaneous and less stressful. We may exchange cards but other than it's a normal day.
ReplyDeleteblessings~
I'm just 2 yrs old into the married life, with no kids yet..so yes, the Valentine's day is a big thing for me..for the DH, its another day in the office.
ReplyDeleteWe do make it a point to take a weekend off and enjoy a small get-away!
Once the brood comes, who knows!!
Thanks so much for this sweet give-away!
Hi Sue - great bunch of goodies!! Please don't include me in the draw though - I'm too blessed already! My birthday is Valentine's Day so I always have an amazing time - usually doing Singing Valentines (a fundraiser for my chorus where we go out and do little singing telegrams only it's a Valentine song). Lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteVery nice giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win. Not a big day for me ... no Valentine in my life right now, but I do love spending time with my kids. As they get older it's more about helping them find just the right gift for their special someone !
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance at such nice blog candy! My birthday is so close to Valentine's we usually combine them. This year we're actually renting a house at the beach that lets us bring the dogs & I'm so excited to have 4 days off! Hope you have a great Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteWe do something on Valentines Day and I do stuff for the kids too. They buy each of their siblings a card and candy and give the goodies to each other in the morning. I make heart shaped pancakes for all. One thing I do with my hubby is that I made a card for him about 3 years ago. I give him the same card each year...he writes a message to me and I to him and we read it. So far there are 3 years of messages in that 1 card..this will be our 4th year.
Oh, Sue! You are too sweet. I love to give secret Valentine cards on Valentine's Day to people I encounter on my daily run arounds. It is fun to see their reactions.
ReplyDeleteSue you are wonderful for doing this blog candy. For Valentine's day, I usually make the immediate family a card, and that's about it.. we all need to watch our weight, so candy isn't usually on the books. That, and with both kids out of the house now, we'd just pig out :) I usually get a hug and kiss and a call from the kids though :) Well, I guess with both out of the house now, it's just a chat or call.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway, Sue! You are so generous! We have a Valentine tradition: by the beginning of the month february, my husband always says we don't give presents, that's not neccesary. But I know that's best to buy him something because on the 14th he will have a present. :)
ReplyDeleteYes I celebrate Valentine's Day. I always get my kids & DH some little thing to let them know how much I love them. Thanks for sharing the blog candy.

Here in Ukraine not everyone really knows about Valentine's Day. It's a special day just for young generation. They celebrate this "foreign holiday" as a chance to establish relations with opposite sex:). So yes, we do celebrate Valentine's Day. In my family we exchanging greeting cards, and sometimes making small presents.
ReplyDeleteI celebrate Valentine's day by making some Valentine's baked goodies and giving homemade cards to my loved ones.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sue for your generous giveaway and the opportunity :)
what a nice giveaway :) i do celebrate valentine's day but more importantly the day after valentine's day which marks when my husband and I started dating many moons ago :)
ReplyDeleteSo yummy candy, Sue. I usually celebrate it just with the family. Buts this year, since Feb 14 takes place on Monday, so I'll celebrate it with the English Corner Radio Program listeners. I am the host of that program. I know it will be fun. I also give some gift to them such as a small English dictionary. Hope we'll enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance, Sue..
I'm not much of a Valentine's day girl, but I love the idea of people giving cards... any snail mail is good mail.
ReplyDeleteWhen our kids were younger, my husband always brought something special for each of them. Our daughter liked getting her own can of frozen lemonade which she ate with a spoon out of the can. One son wanted Mountain Dew and the other some kind of marshmallow candy. And I got flowers. I always made cards for each one...and still do make one for my husband (which I am starting today!) He will make a computer card for me and may bring me his usual gift of flowers. Love it! Thanks for the chance to win! Paper Doll
ReplyDeleteI started a tradition at our house which is making a heart shapped pan of scotcharoos. I make the scotcharoos then invert the pan onto a red plate. Then I melt the chocolate that goes on top and pour it over the top of the heart shapped scotchroos and let it run down the sides. I have made it for 23 years. Our sons now grown really look forward to their chocolate heart for Valentines Day.
