Vellum & Alcohol Inks Video

This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down for the Tiffany Doodles post.

I put together a video about vellum and using Alcohol Inks with vellum. I'm still learning and trying to figure all this video stuff out so please bear with me... :)

Here's a couple of cards using the technique in the video.
I've had a couple of questions about how to adhere the vellum to carstock. For overlay cards where there's a piece of vellum the same size as the card base I don't use any adhesive because I use a piece of ribbon and that keeps the vellum in place. For other cards I try to hide the adhesive behind gems, flowers or cardstock. When I can't do that I use Scotch Vellum Tape. It's available at office supply and craft stores.

I hope this inspires you to take out your Alcohol Inks and play with them or if you're new to this maybe you'll buy a few bottles and get all inky.

Thanks for stopping by!

  16. Wow Sue love this video, you have done a wonderful job on it. Not talking too long but getting the points across and showing how to do it. I am busy playing around with vellum for some cards and had never thought to use alcohol ink on vellum. Have always used on glossy cardstock so now I need to go do this. I was wondering if its okay to put a link to your blog and this particular page so people can watch the video. I am going to do a post eventually so would be good to do this rather than photo tutorial, why reinvent the wheel when its there. Would really appreciate.
I love the cards you did with all the different ideas too, vellum overlay etc just beautiful.
