I made a card for this weeks challenge at Lily Pad Cards. It's a sketch challenge presented by my all time fave company Hero Arts.
I'm in the fall mood now so I made another card using all Hero Arts stamps.
I flipped the design and embossed the three strips of paper with the Designer Woodgrain stamp and used Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder.
The maple leaf is from the Real Leaves Poetic Prints set. I used Distress Inks directly on the stamp, stamped it on paper and then applied Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint on top. I couldn't get a decent pic showing the crackle, it just kind of looks blurry in the photo. I added the sentiment from To/From Petals set and also pierced some holes on the side of the card.
Thanks for stopping by and have an inky day!
I love the way your leaf turned out, Sue! It's beautiful! Wonderful take on the sketch. . .love the sentiment around the corner too! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous design! Love the wood grain strips with the leaf!
ReplyDeleteSue, this is beautiful! I love the simple, clean design and the pretty fall colors. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhere do I begin? I firstly think that sentiment around the corner is clever and really draws the eye! Secondly the three strips with the woodgrain panel is great - it puts me in mind of a rustic fence.
ReplyDeleteWould be a great entry into Hero Arts' current comp with the fall theme!!
Love the Sentiment
