World Cardmaking Day!

It's World Cardmaking Day today with lots of great activities around the world and around the web.

I had a chance to get a little inky this morning and made two cards.

I played around with Stampin Ups Inspired by Nature set which was stamped onto a background using some Distress Inks and Hero Arts Large Fabric Design and Friend Definition stamps.

For my second card I played around with distressing and collage-type stamping. I think I went a little overboard with the distressing...
I distressed with Tim Holtz inks, a distress tool and added a few sprinkles of water drops.

The postcard image is a digi from River City Rubber Works and is called Antique Leaf Postcard. The rest of the images, the Hydrangea, Butterfly and Sentiment are all from Hero Arts.

I hope you get a little inky celebrating World Card Making Day!

  1. Sue, I love them both! Your idea of a silhouette of the coneflowers is wonderful, especially against that gorgeous blue. And no, I don't think you went overboard on the distressing on the 2nd card - I think it's equally perfect! Happy WCMD!

  3. Sue - I can't quite get my head around how you did the grading of the friend definition background. It's stunning!
And the post card is a beauty too -not too much distressing at all.
