I love this big Stencil Flower from Hero Arts, it's a great stamp to use with Distress Inks.
Stamps all Hero Arts: Stencil Flower, Classic Fabric Design, Year Round Sentiments
Ink: Hero Arts (Soft Shadow Ink in Soft Purple), Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Seedless Preserves, Embossing Ink), Colorbox Chalk Ink (Blackbird)
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Canson Watercolour 140lb, Vellum
Basic Grey Button
I love applying lots of Distress Ink directly onto the embossed flower and spraying heavily with Perfect Pearls so the colours move around on the paper. This really only works on watercolour paper, other papers will disintegrate or pill from the wetness.
Here's a video on how I made this card.
I'm entering this card at the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Challenge.
And as a side note I would like to wish my hubby a Happy Anniversary, it's our 24th today!
Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteSue, tried your technique with Momento, didn't work nearly as well as your Hero Arts Shadow ink. I used the background anyway, for something else (as it was pretty!); linked to your video, and hope you don't mind. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us newbies.
