Serendipity Stamps Guest Designer

Hi everyone! This month I'm a guest designer over at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog for Challenge #54, Emboss.

I love embossing, it's a great way to add texture and interest to a card without a lot of bulk.

For my first card I gold heat embossed the Cala Lily and colored it with Distress Inks. I added a sentiment from the Everyday Words set (there's 4 sentiments in this set) and the lattice edging is from the Daisy Garden Die.
This die can actually give you two different die cuts just by making two little snips with your scissors. In my next card you'll see how I used the other half of the die cut.

To finish off the flower panel I added paper piercing to two of the corners and carried the piercing over to the card base as well. I added three dry embossed lines to the card base by scoring the card stock from the back using a score board.

For my second card I die cut the Daisy Garden Die twice from white card stock and cut off the lattice design so I only had the floral section. I glued them on my panel, using them as a stencil to colour the flowers.

The Happy Mother's Day Stitched sentiment was embossed on vellum and adhered between the panel and pool card base. Isn't the cross-stitch detail pretty?

Now it's your turn to get embossing and create a project for this challenge. Make sure to drop by the blog to see all the creations by design team. I'll be back on April 20th with a couple more cards to share with you.

Stop by the Serendipity Stamps Shop to check out all their amazing stamps and dies. This month the Adirondack Chair is 50% off. It's a great image for making summer scenes!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I'm entering these cards for Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Wednesday Challenge here.
