Play Date Cafe Anniversary

I'm playing along today with The Play Date Cafe's Third Anniversary Challenge.
Don't these colours look great together...well they look wonderful in the photo but I had a hard time combining these colours in a card design.

The colours are flame, grape and mulberry but I think my grape might be a little off  : )

Thanks for visiting and leaving me your wonderful comments, I truly appreciate them!

Chevron Fun

Another card for the Hero Arts Challenge here, combining CAS with one of the sketches.
Chevron Fun

I'm also entering this in The Play Date Cafe's current challenge here.  I couldn't help but play along with these  fun and vibrant colours!
There's still time to get inky and play along in both challenges!

Thanks for stopping by!

Play Date Cafe

As soon as I saw the colours for this weeks challenge at The Play Date Cafe I knew I had to play.
The colours are so rich and elegant and that beautiful clutch made me think of a damask pattern.
For my background I used Impression Obsessions Damask Stamp. I inked it with Versamark, stamped it on white cardstock and coloured it with Pan Pastels, a chalk-like product.

I used Papertrey Inks Fillable Frames #10 die and stamp, and a sentiment from their Communique Curves Sentiments. I added some ribbon, a wee butterfly and a few gems.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just A Splash...

...of colour that is. That's what the challenge is over at The Play Date Cafe this week. Make a black and white card with a splash of colour.

For my card I went with a splash of yellow to pop against the black and white.

I inked Hero Arts Classic Fabric Design with Versamark, stamped it on white paper and coloured over that with black Pan Pastels. These are  artist quality chalk/pastels that are very pigmented. To see more posts about this product click here. This was mounted onto white cardstock run through the Cuttlebug with Kassie's Brocade embossing folder.

I punched out a Martha Stewart butterfly and covered it with glitter and added my ribbon and Hero Arts sentiment from Classic Messages.

Wishing you an inky day!
