Simon Says

Hi everyone!  I'm back with my first project since I had my carpal tunnel surgery.  The surgery went well and I'm still recuperating and have limited use of my hand.  I'm getting my stitches out on Thursday, looking forward to that!  Thank you everyone for your well wishes regarding my surgery, I really appreciated hearing from you!

I'm sharing a tag today that I made for the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge here with the theme being Read All About It and also for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge here and the theme is Anything Goes. There's going to be lots of fun events going on for Stamptember at Simon Says, don't forget to join in the fun!
I got fairly inky with my tag, did minimal carefree stamping with my left hand and I didn't have to use any scissors (hurts too much to cut with them).  And I have to add that I love having the Vagabond to make life easier with the die cutting.

I'm also entering this tag over at Vicki's blog Clips-n-Cuts where she's having a fun giveaway to promote her fantastic InLinkz Manager.

Thanks everyone for stopping by!

News

Hi everyone!

I just came back from a "mini" holiday and thought I would share the news that I will be having carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand tomorrow (I am right handed) so I won't be posting any creations for awhile.  For how long, I'm not too sure but I hope to be able to get around a bit and perhaps leave comments on a few blogs with some left handed mousing and one finger typing....eeek!

Wishing everyone wonderful inky crafting days while I'm out of service!

Chevron Fun

Another card for the Hero Arts Challenge here, combining CAS with one of the sketches.
Chevron Fun

I'm also entering this in The Play Date Cafe's current challenge here.  I couldn't help but play along with these  fun and vibrant colours!
There's still time to get inky and play along in both challenges!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hero Arts CAS

A card for the Hero Arts monthly challenge found here. I combined all three themes on my card.
CAS Butterflies

And here are the sketches to choose from.

I used Hero Arts pretty Pool Papers for my colour theme along with the beautiful Floral Blossoms stamp which was used on the main panel and on the die cut, you can faintly make out the second generation stamping of pool ink on the white card stock.

And my butterfly embellishments, can you guess what they are made from?  Shrink Plastic! It's a craft product that's been around for a long time yet I tend to forget about using it in my projects, it's always fun to watch the shrinky magic take place!

Here's a close-up of the butterflies.

I stamped the butterflies on one side of the Shrink Plastic and coloured them in with Copics on the backside, it gives a lovely translucent effect.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting, I appreciate all your wonderful comments!
