Washi Valentine

Washi Tape kind of scares me, somewhat like my phobia of patterned papers.  I did buy a couple roles of the stuff (there's so many fun patterns out there) and this is my second project using it.
Washi Valentine
I made this card for Simon Says Washi Tape Challenge.  I covered some cardstock with washi tape (if you can believe it, I bought this stuff at my local grocery store) and die cut a label from it.  Not very original but at least I got to use the stuff!

I die cut a felt heart to put on the label and used Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats Dies for my card base.  Love the finish it gives to a card.

That's all from me today and thanks for visiting!

  1. I'm a bit afraid of the stuff too, Sue! Love what you've created with it! That felt heart really does look beautiful! :)

  3. Yes, that stitched mat die is on my short list of must haves! The washi looks fab on your card, especially against the white felt! Love your pink and red combo!

  4. I feel the same way with washi tape and patterned paper. I have a few rolls too and I should just bite the bullet and try them out. I really love how yours turned out. The boldness of the washi taped label really makes the felt heart stand out. I hope you had a wonderful day. Take care!

  7. That's a great idea to cover the c/s with the washi, then diecut it. I'm stumped on how to use the stuff as well, and I got a good buy on some diff colors at our local Target. TFS a beautiful & creative card.
