Ribbon Ornament Redo

Another card for Hero Arts Simple Holiday challenge. I decided to do a simple version of the ribbon ornament cards I made earlier here. I had a fun time making the ribbon ornaments but it's by no means a quick project. Hero Arts has been presenting cards that use non-traditional Christmas colours such as pink so I wanted to try and incorporate that into the simple ornament card.

I'm usually a traditionalist when it comes to holiday colours. Red, green, burgundy, white, silver and gold. Those are my colours. This year I've played with blues and silver. Next was going to be pink! And here it is!
The background is stamped with Antique Flower in Brilliance Platinum Planet. The pine boughs were stamped with Memento ink in Bamboo Leaves and the sentiment was embossed in silver. The ornaments were embossed in white and quickly coloured with Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold. I added some Stardust pen hilights to the balls, cut them out and attached them with foam dots. I finished with silver metallic cording and attached to a pink card. This was a super speedy card. Just a bunch of quick stamping. The longest part was cutting out the ornaments (I'm very slow and shaky at that). I really enjoyed making this card and love how the colours turned out! I think a pretty good card with non-traditional colours!

Thanks for stopping by!
