Paper Piecing at A Blog Named Hero

There's a new challenge up at A Blog Named Hero and we are looking for projects that use paper piecing.

We are using Gossamer Blue products on all our March projects along with our Hero Arts supplies. Gossamer Blue has some wonderful scrapbook and life pages kits that include pretty papers, embellishments, inks and stamps.  Stop by here to check them out.

All the papers on my card, except for the kites, is from Gossamer Blue.

I used Rock Candy Stickles on the fun swirly clouds and Wink of Stella in clear on my funky sun.

I thought this would be a great card for my nephew when he goes off to university in the fall.

We can't wait to see your creative projects over at A Blog Named Hero.  Remember that a random winner will receive a gift voucher to do some shopping at Simon Says Stamp.

Please stop by A Blog Named Hero to check out the projects created by the other design team members.

Rainbow Birthday

A card for Hero Arts Birthday Challenge in the rainbow category.
P1220254c

I inked up the Tiny Flags stamp with Distress Markers, gave it a spritz and stamped it on my card to create a watercolour border.

For the text background I gathered up all my sentiment sets and puzzled together a variety of birthday sentiments and stamped them in Smokey Gray Versafine Ink.  I black embossed the main sentiment so it would pop off the background and finished off with some twine and pearls.

Wishing you an inky day!

Sparkly Easter Card

A quick post today with an Easter card I made using this Egg Set from Impression Obsession.

The little chick is such a cutie!

I used DCWV Pastel Glitter Cardstock for the grass, chick and background and some mother of pearl white cardstock for the egg.

I really love how this turned out!

Watercoloured Daisies

A watercolour card for Virginia's View Challenge #1.  This is a new challenge blog, go check out the details here.

I did a little bit of painting, stamping, die cutting and embossing to make this Mother's Day card.

Sue McRae Virginia's View Challenge-#1c

I attached the vellum sentiment with a decorative staple from EK Success's Fastenater, a tool that has been in my stash for years and years! Does anyone remember this stapler and all the fun staples you could buy for it?

Maybe it will make a comeback like stencils, stencil paste and the Spritzer Air Brush that Tim Holtz is now peddling. All of these items have been in my craft stash for years as well.

I'm also entering this in Vicky's InLinkz Project Manager Challenge.
