Acetate Tag

A holiday tag for the Hero Arts Challenge here. The bottom layer of the tag is Distress Inks overstamped with an image sprayed with Perfect Pearls. It has a subtle shimmer to it. The snowflakes and sentiment are stamped onto acetate with the embossed trees and snow done in mica flakes attached ontop.

Wow Wednesday!

I spent Saturday in Montreal taking classes with the fabulous Jennifer McGuire. It was three classes jam-packed with techniques and lots of inky fun! Unfortunately my pics did not turn out but it was so great to meet Jennifer, she's such a sweetie!

Now here's some links to gorgeous papercrafts found around the web.

This winter scene here is perfect. It makes me think of a cold and crisp winters day when the snow sparkles like thousands of little stars.

Thinking Inking Snowflakes

I finally had a chance to play using techniques from Jennifer's Thinking Inking here. It's so much fun to get all inky!

Both cards were white embossed on watercolour paper and Alcohol Inks were applied ontop. They both have a soft shimmer to them from using Pearl and Silver Mixatives.

My fave is this first one. It's so pretty in person with the shimmery background, the glittered snowflake and the sparkly Stickles. The camera really doesn't do it justice.

Wishing everyone a sparkly day!

Wow Wednesdays!

There are so many talented people out there crafting away in their little corner of the world. They have amazing and beautiful creations and I thought I would share with you some of the ones that have caught my eye. I hope they give you inspiration and I know they will bring a smile to your face!

This one I just laid eyes on a few minutes ago. The exquisite elegance of this card is amazing. Lucy has such a knack making the simple look extraordinary. Take a peek here.

And now at the opposite side of elegance is this cute and charming card by Ayana. Love the happy little critters on this card here.

Love the big butterfly on this card here. It's so delicate and fits with the background wonderfully.

The card here has an image stamped on paper-thin wood. Fabulous!

Pia is a very clever stamper and the Christmas card she made here is amazing!

A real leaf was stamped and embossed on this card here. Fantastic idea!

I'm really liking the colours on this card here, here, here and here.
