Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge

I'm squeezing in a card for Ellen Hutson's Pin-Sights Challenge. Here's the inspiration pic.

Lots of florals and beautiful colours!

I used the Essentials by Ellen Wild Garden Die Set for my card. I die cut one of the smaller flowers numerous times from water colour paper and used Distress Inks on them and adhered them to a square card base.

I cut a piece of vellum slightly smaller than the card to soften the background flowers but I still find them a little too bright and distracting. I think I should have used lighter shades of ink on them.

The largest flower from the Wild Garden set was die cut from water colour paper as well, inked up and sprayed with Perfect Pearls. For the flower centre I put a blob of glossy accents and sprinkled on some iridescent beads. I also added a couple of vellum leaves to finish off the flower and the sentiment is from gold foil paper.

Jungle Vine

Hello! I have a colourful little scene to share with you.

I created a water colour wash in shades of blue for my background. I die cut the Poppystamps Jungle Vine Oval from white card stock and sponged it with Distress Inks.

I used only part of the A2 size Jungle Vine by placing it strategically behind the window opening of the square Curved Banner Frame and cutting away what wasn't needed. You can see the entire Jungle Vine die cut used on a card here.

I added a few butterflies die cut from scraps of water coloured and alcohol ink colored paper and the bird was die cut from glossy card stock and coloured with alcohol inks.

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone! I have a quick and simple card for you today.

I created a messy water colour wash on my paper and tried to keep it in the pastel family instead of my usual use of more vivid colours. I used the Memory Box Pinpoint Square die for my panel. I really like those tiny holes. No more trying to do it by hand with a ruler and paper piercer!

The Happy Birthday frame was die cut from white card stock. It's a pretty feminine focal piece with the scalloped edging and stitch lines. I stamped and die cut a few flowers and leaves and added those to finish off the card.

Alcohol Inks

My card today uses alcohol inks, a product I love crafting with but sometimes I forget about them. Then when I do start playing with them I can't seem to stop! So I pulled out my glossy card stock and a few blues, purples and teals to create some inky paper.

I die cut the Poppystamps Folium Frame from a paper with lighter hues of colour and the Daphne Butterfly was die cut from a more vivid piece of inky card stock.

To give the butterfly more loft I die cut a couple from purple vellum and attached it to the back of the inked butterfly.

The frame and butterfly were mounted onto wood grain paper for some texture and a simple sentiment was stamped in the corner with black ink and clear heat embossed.

Serene Bird

I have a card today using Poppystamps stamps and dies.

I started off by die cutting a circle out of white card stock and adding a wash of colour behind it in orange and yellow.

I took glossy paper and coloured it with alcohol inks and die cut a bird from it and used a strip of it on the left hand side of the card.

The branch and Stick Frame Border were die cut from cherry wood paper and I finished off by stamping the sentiment to follow the curved of the window opening.

I'm submitting this card for Simon Says Stamp Make for the Border Challenge here.

Happy crafting!

I created a simple card that can easily mass produced with the Delfina Layer Set. I used two out of the three layers in the set. adhered them together and added those onto a dark blue background.

I used a snowflake from the Poppystamps Ava Snowflakes set and die cut it from glittery card stock. The sentiment from the Christmas Greetings stamp set was silver heat embossed onto vellum and I finished off with some metallic accents for the snowflake centres.

Mad About Monkeys

One last Poppystamps card featuring animals. This one is all about the monkeys.

Jungle Vine Monkeys A

I die cut the Jungle Vine Oval from cherry wood paper and attached it to a water coloured background.

The monkeys were die cut in different earth tones as I figured this would be a good card for a baby boy.
