I was seeing so many beautiful cards made for Embellish Magazines Color Challenge (plus background stamping) that I decided to make one for the challenge too.
This colour combo is not one that I would think to put together but I loved playing with it.
I used alcohol inks to colour some glossy cardstock and white embossed the flower on this. I clear embossed the background on the black paper and used the Cuttlebug to emboss the white card base.

Falling Leaves
I love the colours of fall and have a tiny obsession with all things leafy so a leafy card for the Hero Arts Everything Autumn challenge and the Caardvarks Clean & Simple Challenge is a perfect fit.
I stamped the leaves and sentiment on cream coloured vellum and overlayed this onto cardstock stamped with a blue flourish background and added some ribbon. I wanted to keep it simple so the colourful beauty of the leaves is the focus.

Apple of My Eye
Today is the release of Vinnie Pearce's new digi kit, Apple of My Eye, available here. Lots of beautiful things in this kit!
This first project is for my sister. She's having some friends over for dinner as a "thank you" for helping her out and the table will be set with these place cards and little gift bags. So sweet!
For my card I thought I would try something new so I used different shades of brown with just a spot of colour from the butterfly.

Everything Autumn
Hero Arts theme for September is Everything Autumn: Harvest, Halloween and Thanksgiving with a technique challenge of Simple Gift Bag. Check out all the info here.
To go along with that theme I made some place cards and gift bags for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday in Canada (Oct. 11th). I think these will look festive on the table.
These were made with a Hero Arts digital kit found here and with some traditional stamping. So fun to make! I think I'll put everyones favourite sweet treats into each bag!

Emboss Resist
I was playing around with a couple of new stamps and came up with these cards. Both use the emboss resist technique. I stamped the background with a Sheet Music stamp (Impression Obsession) and then clear embossed the flower (Outlines) ontop and covered it all with Distress Inks.
