I found out that a card I entered in the Paper Crafts Connection Stamping Royalty Contest is an honorable mention card along with four other cards.

Here is my card that I entered in the Thank You category.  I used a reverse mask to stamp a variety of Thank images in a heart shape.

Hero Arts April Challenge

Well, I've managed to squeak in a card for this months challenge over at Hero Arts. The theme is to create a project for the ladies and I was also inspired by the sketch provided.

Here's my project, a pocket card that holds a gift card.

For the large flower I coloured some vellum with alcohol inks and white embossed the image. I did some tone-on-tone stamping for the pocket and background and added some sparkle with two stripes of Glitter Ritz (the photo doesn't show how pretty the glitter really is).

The large sentiment is from a set called Made with Love. Love the large size of the images and the mix of fonts. I attached the gift card onto an embossed tag which can be pulled out from the pocket. Oh, I also dyed some May Arts Silk Ribbon with Distress Stains for a custom colour (which isn't as vibrant as in the photo).

I'm also entering this card in Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge.

CAS-ual Birthday Bash

There's a two week Birthday Bash going on over at CAS-ual Fridays to celebrate Michele's Birthday!

I made a quickie card using the flowers from CAS-ual Fridays Truth Is stamp set and coloured them with Stardust Pens. For the paint drops I used Delicata Golden Glitz ink which is such a pretty and sparkly gold.

A Blog Named Hero Loves Simon Says

Hi everyone and welcome to our last week of birthday festivities at A Blog Named Hero. We're celebrating our one year birthday with the fabulous Simon Says.  Simon Says has been with us since the launch of the blog, generously offering a gift voucher for each of our challenges. Today's card is a CAS design featuring Hero Arts and Simon Says products.

To get some great texture on the flowers I die cut the Fresh Daisies, stamped them with the Envelope Liner Background in Versamark and applied PanPastels on top. I die cut the "you" and used PanPastels on that as well.  If you would like more info on using PanPastels check out my video here.
