Joy Shaker

Hello everyone! Today I have an easy shaker card using Poppystamps Double Joy Dies.

This is a two die set where one die cuts out the solid image and the second die cuts the outline image. So versatile!

I made a fun shaker section out of the middle Joy using seed beads and polymer clay candy.

For more info on how I made the card please stop by the Poppystamps blog here.

Wintry Shaker

Hi everyone! I have a wintry snowflake edge-to-edge shaker card today using products from Scrap en Masse!

I started by creating my background using Brusho Crystals on watercolour paper. I chose a few colours in blues and purples.

The snowflake dies are from Art Impressions Large Snowflakes and die cut them using DCWV Holographic Mat Stack. Love the different patterns and pretty colours that come in this pad.

I adhered the snowflakes onto my background and used some card packaging to create the shaker. I added adhesive to the back of the panel and folded over the edges of the packaging. I left one end open so I could add the shaker elements and adhered the last edge.

I finished off with a glittery sentiment. So much pretty sparkle and shine happening here!

Leafy Swirl

Hi everyone! I made a shaker card using Marianne Design Tiny's Swirl & Leaves Dies. I die cut the swirl from my cardstock and used that as my shaker element with some seed beads.

I added a bit of Distress Ink around the swirl and flicked on some gold and red paint. The sentiment is Photoplay Speech Bubble Sentiments.

For the leaves I took watercolour cardstock and randomly applies different shades of red, orange and yellow and die cut the leaves from it. These leaves not only die cut but also emboss some raised areas onto the die cut.

Get Well Shaker

Hello, I have a colourful shaker card today using the new to me, Pinkfresh Studio Simply Diamonds die.

The Simply Diamonds was die cut from a panel of yupo paper that I coloured with alcohol inks. I wanted the background of the shaker to sort of match the colours of the diamond piece so I used various Distress Inks and then sprayed it with Perfect Pearls for a bit of shimmer.

I used clear sequins for the shaker elements and finished off with the sentiment. I hope these cheery colours will brighten the recipient's day!

Shaker Tree

I have a clean and simple shaker card today.

I decided to go with a white theme and let the shaker elements be the colour in the card.

The Christmas Tree is from the Very Merry die set from Papertrey Ink. I really like the shape of this tree with its soft scalloped edges. The shaker bits are clay peppermint candy shapes and sparkling clear sequins.

For the background I die cut a bunch of snowflakes from white card stock and adhered them to the card base for some added texture.

Shamrock Shaker

Hello crafters. Today I have a shamrock shaker card for St. Patrick's Day.

For my shaker window I made a frame by die cutting two square dies together. I added a mix of gold and green sequins, gems and beads for the shaker element and adhered this to a green card base.

I created two shamrocks by die cutting hearts from Doodlebug paper. I adhered one shamrock to the front of the shaker window and added foam squares to the back of the second shamrock so that there was some dimension.

I finished off with a gemstone and sentiment.

I'm sharing this card over at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, A Bit O' Green and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Use Some Green.

Lil Gnome

I just love the gnome dies Simon Says Stamp came out with last winter but I didn't want to just use these cuties for Christmas cards so I figured if I dressed them up appropriately I could use them all year long.

I decided to make a birthday shaker card with some fun patterned papers, colourful sequins and of course a pom pom!

The Bee's Knees

Made a fun shaker with the cute bees from the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit from back in July! These bees from the Bee Yourself stamp set are just adorable, especially the one with the glasses.

I used the SSS Small Hexagon Die for my shaker windows. The back of the shaker window is a daisy flower patterned paper from Doodlebug and the front panel paper is from Honey Bee stamps.

I think "You're the Bee's Knees" is a good sentiment for any occasion and I decided to stamp a birthday greeting on the inside.

Ho Ho Deer Circle

The Ho Ho Deer Circle from Simon Says Stamp just made Christmas projects a lot more fun! This has got to be my favorite die released for this Christmas.

It's easy to use and makes fabulous shaker cards and tags.

Who can resist this cutie face, especially with a touch of plaid?

Add a pompom nose and some googly eyes and the cuteness sky rockets!

Really, there are so many possibilities with this die. Next I think I might try some foiling!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Vellum Shaker

I have a shaker card for you today for My Favorite Things You Could Be A Card Design Superstar Challenge here!

I coloured white vellum with alcohol inks in blue and purple and applied the inks in a circular swirl pattern. I love using alcohol inks, you never know exactly how each piece will turn out! I die cut My Favorite Things Triangle Screen from the vellum, adhered it to acetate and added back some of the triangles and left the centre portion empty for the shaker window.

The background for the shaker is also vellum coloured in paler hues of blue and purple.

I finished off with a sentiment from My Favorite Things Peaceful Wildflowers stamp set and a couple of thin black strips of card stock.
