Simon Says Travel

The challenge over at Simon Says this week is to make a Travel/Cityscapes card.

Here's my Bon Voyage card for a would-be traveller.
Travel Card

The map was stamped with Versamark and coloured with PanPastels (a video about PanPastels can be found on my video page here). I added some Hero Arts die cut alphabets and the fun paper airplane stamp and die is from Lawn Fawn.

Thanks for stopping by today!

ABNH Celebrates with Avery Elle

Continuing with our month long festivities at A Blog Named Hero, we are celebrating our One Year Birthday with a company that began last year as well, and that is Avery Elle.

If you're not familiar with Avery Elle they are a company that designs their own photopolymer stamps and sells other goodies such as dies, card stock, ribbon and sequins. They also have a blog where you can see some fabulous projects using their products.

For my celebration card I combined Avery Elle's Framed Fonts with Hero Arts Bold Flourish in some fun Distress Inks on watercolour paper. For added sparkle I added some gems and used Glitter Ritz around the edges of the card base.

Make sure to stop by A Blog Named Hero to check out the projects from the other Design Team members and drop by the Avery Elle blog and see their creations as well.

Hero Arts Week at ABNH

Welcome to week two of our month long birthday celebration at A Blog Named Hero. Can you believe ABNH is already one year old?

This week we're getting together with some of the designers from Hero Arts so make sure to stop by the blog to see all the fabulous projects.

My card today is quick and colorful.

I stamped a border from the Calico Borders set multiple times and used sentiments from a few different stamp sets.  You can easily change up the colors and mass produce this design.

Thanks for visiting and stop by A Blog Named Hero to check out all the festivities!

It's A Celebration!

A Blog Named Hero is celebrating its first birthday all month long with some fun collaborations. First up is Timeless Twine with their yummy colours of twine.
Sue McRae Timeless Twine Apr 4 2013

I made some celebration star balloons for my card and I used Bubble Gum Pink, Raspberry Pink, Purple Passion and Graphite Gray twine. I braided some of the colours together to get a fun variegated look for my balloon strings.

Make sure to stop by the Timeless Twine store here to check out all the twine and also visit the Twineology blog here to see the projects created by the Twine-istas for this collaboration week.

Also please visit A Blog Named Hero to see what fabulous projects my fellow ABNH Designers have come up with and there may be a prize involved!
