Digi Christmas Tags

I made two sets of Christmas gift tags for this months Hero Arts Challenge.  Both sets use digital images and have a little stamping, a little embossing and a little bling on them.

I really like the Scribble Tree, it's such a fun and whimsical image and perfect for showcasing a variety of background papers.

Tags are quick and easy to produce and they make excellent gifts when you bundle them up in a set and put them in a pretty box or bag.  That's what I plan to do with mine!

So Torn

When I saw CAS-ual Fridays So Torn Challenge I immediately thought of a leaf with fall colours.  I'm really not sure why, it's just one of those things that can't be explained.  So I set about trying to figure out how to use something torn on my card.  Very hard for someone who likes everything to be linear.

I lopped off 0.75" from my card front and attached 3 layers of torn paper to take its place.  My favourite Maple Leaf was stamped with Distress Inks and to frame the leaf I added Versamark to the edges of the square, sprinkled on embossing powder and heat set it.  A quick and easy way to add some colour and texture without using paper.

I'm also entering this card for Simon Says Thinking of You/Sympathy Challenge.  There's still time to play and enter both challenges!

Wishing you an inky day!

Masculine CAS-ual Fridays

I have a card today for CAS-ual Fridays Masculine Challenge.

My dad enjoys nature and watching shows about wild animals so over the years I've collected quite a few animal stamps to use on his greeting cards.  This wolf is a very old stamp from PSX, the company may be gone but the image lives on.

This is my first time using Simon Says Air Vent Die and I love it, it adds so much visual interest to a card.  You should definitely put it on your wish list!

I'm also entering this for A Blog Named Hero's Die and Punch Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Simon Says...Get In Shape

Only shaped cards allowed at Simon Says Get In Shape Challenge this week.
Inspired by Lin

I started off with white card stock which was coloured with Distress Inks, I stamped the design then used water to paint certain sections of the image.  Since Distress Inks react with water the areas I painted became lighter, kind of a bleached effect.  Very subtle.

Wishing you an inky day!
