Thinking of You

Hi everyone! Today I have a card using the spring birdhouse from Spellbinders Birdhouses Through the Seasons die set and the Sweet Birds die set. These dies were design by Vicki P. and there are four sets, one for each season. They are just so detailed and adorable!

I die cut the birdhouse from rustic white cardstock (see all the embossed details) and added colourful birds so they pop against the white. I stenciled a cloudy background and added a few flowers to finish the card.

I'm entering this for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Lots of Layers, here.

Thanks for visiting with me today!

Golden Birthday

Here's a 75th Birthday card I made using Tsukineko's Delicata Golden Glitz ink and Hero Arts Leafy Vines stamp.
Golden-Birthday I absolutely love this gold ink because it doesn't have to be embossed and it has such a rich, deep metallic hue. I think it's so pretty on the black cardstock.

The numbers were die cut from gold paper and adhered to a vellum piece that was stamped with the Leafy Vines. I can't get enough of this stamp!

Thanks for visiting and wishing you an inky day!

Simon Says...Get In Shape

Only shaped cards allowed at Simon Says Get In Shape Challenge this week.
Inspired by Lin

I started off with white card stock which was coloured with Distress Inks, I stamped the design then used water to paint certain sections of the image.  Since Distress Inks react with water the areas I painted became lighter, kind of a bleached effect.  Very subtle.

Wishing you an inky day!

Put Your Heart Into It

This weeks challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is to use a heart on your project.
P1120360

I punched some hearts out of paper that I watercoloured with pinks and reds and sewed them on my card.  I added a few pierced holes, a sentiment and mounted it onto a card base embossed with a Spellbinders folder.

Thanks for visiting!

Holiday Greetings

A card today for Julie's Holiday Greetings Challenge over at Ellen Hutson where there are World Card Making Day challenges going on all week.
P1120267
For creating my holiday greeting I decided to randomly stamp different Christmas sentiments on my ornaments, a fun and different way of using all those sentiments we have in our stash.

I'm also entering this over at Hero Arts for their October challenge which is to make a holiday card and use holiday die cutting.

Thanks for visiting!

Vellum Butterfly

Here's a card I made from a design featured in the Stretch Your Stamps Class.
The butterfly is die cut so it hangs off the edge of the card but the width of the card still allows you to mail it in an A2 envelope, no extra postage required!

The butterfly is made up of two pieces layered together.  The bottom piece is vellum coloured with Alcohol Inks and the top piece is pink cardstock coloured with a Stardust Pen.  (Just to note, there's a bit of colour discrepancy in the photo, the butterfly is pink not the red it shows here).

Here's a look at the inside of the card.

I'm entering this over at the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge.  There's still lots of time to make a project for this challenge.

Wishing you an inky day!
